Course Goals:

Comprehensive Introduction: Delve into the foundational principles of simulation-based education, aligned with healthcare simulation standards, through a blend of didactic teachings and hands-on sessions.

Experiential Learning: Engage in immersive, hands-on simulation scenarios where participants actively run and debrief cases, gaining practical experience and refining essential skills under the guidance of international experts.

Collaboration and Skill Refinement: Foster collaboration across diverse disciplines while gaining invaluable insights and refining debriefing techniques, creating a safe and nonjudgmental learning environment conducive to enhancing proficiency in simulation education and improving patient care outcomes.


    Objectives:

    Upon completion, the learner should be able to:

    1. Recognize the conceptual framework of simulation-based education and its implementation in curricula

    2. Build a safe learning environment

    3. Conduct /facilitate interprofessional simulation scenario

    4. Debrief learners according to a debriefing framework following a simulation scenario

    5. Describe the “Good Judgment” approach toward their students' performance

    6. Describe their role as a simulation champion in their settings leading to becoming a change agent
